I love historic house museums. My husband and I recently joined historic new england. They have a number of historic house museums. Today, we hit two in Newbury, Ma. The one in the picture is the Pierce-Little farm. Doesn't this house have a funny face? It looks like it's scared. They have some animals there, and my husband made friends with a goat.

Stupid iTunes
Don't you hate it when you go to buy something on iTunes and they've changed the terms and conditions again! It's so annoying to have to interrupt the purchasing process to "agree" to their 62 page document! I'm an attorney, and I don't read it before I agree to it. I wonder if anyone does?
Aging Gracefully?
I turned 50 this year, and I don't like it. My son is starting his senior year of high school and will be leaving home soon. I am also getting the beginnings of a wattle on my neck.
Somehow, I have to figure out how to get used to being in advanced middle age. Or as my husband likes to remind me, I'm only middle-aged if I live to 100.
Any advice on how to age gracefully?

Hmmm...Blogging

So, I've decided to start blogging. Here goes. My name is Martha, and I'm a 46 yr old avid quilter with a 13 yr old son, and a wonderful husband.
I've been sewing forever, but only recently got into quilting. Here are some of my recent quilts.
The blue and green quilt at the right is called "Island Hopping." I made this for my sister and her husband. This quilt was shown this year at the Quilter's Gathering in New Hampshire.
